In which he said that vaccination is going speedy and well, 4 crore 85 lakhs vaccination has been given to people & last 24-hours record states that more than 32,54,000 doses of vaccine have been given to people. Where he also stated that 30 days average vaccination stats are 3,77,000 and in March it is 15,54,000 nearly 4 times the demand for the vaccine is increased.

He clearly also stated that we don’t need to worry about the number of vaccines as we have vaccines in enough number for our people. In the early vaccination stage, the vaccines are provided for health and frontline workers at first & still they will be vaccinated before anyone and particular circumstances for the reason is that in the time of lockdown the doctors and forces did a tremendous job.

He also added that for the exact purpose of providing vaccination to senior citizens (age 60+) are getting vaccinated from 16th of February 2021 & person aged 45 years to 60 years will only be vaccinated if they are suffering from any other disease even then they still be needing to show the certificate of the disease before getting vaccinated.

Adding to that he claimed that after the “Mantri Mandal Bethak” advice from the task force and scientific sources came to a decision that aged above 45 years will be getting vaccinated no matter if the person is suffering from disease or not, he still will be getting the vaccination.

This means even a healthy person aged between 45 years to 60 years will be getting vaccination by the government and they will not be needing a certificate of their fitment or disease anymore.

The taskforce also mentioned that the second dose was given in between the meantime of 4 weeks to 6 weeks after the first dose. This is now updated to 4 weeks to 8 weeks is more beneficial than the earlier 6 weeks bar. This waiting period is only mentioned for the COVISHIELD vaccine only.

He also appealed for everyone to get vaccinated everyone who’s age is above 45 years for that they have to register themselves at the government portal so they can opt-out for an appointment and centre. People who are worried about the quantity of the vaccine shall not worry anymore our country has enough number of vaccines ready and available for everyone who want to get vaccinated.

He also stated that our Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi has also get vaccinated.

Everyone above 45 years to get Vaccination

The more he added is that after advice from Task Force and Scientists the decision made after the meeting is decided as from 1st of April 2021 the vaccine will be available for each and every one whoever is more than 45 years old.

The second decision stated that advice given by scientist and world scientist body also that, 2nd dose of the vaccine will be given between the time period of 4th week and 8th week after getting the first dose of vaccination and this decision was particularly made for the COVISHIELD vaccine only.

He appealed again for the same reason about getting vaccinated who is above 45 years old.

In the media briefing, one question asked by the fellow reporter Laxman from CNBC Awaaz:-

He asked about having a free hand for the hospital to vaccinate everyone their staff members and workers too.

The answer he got was that the government is providing a facility for everyone who has aged above 45 years old no matter he is working for staff or not he will be vaccinated by the government after if he registers and follow the procedure of appointment and took the vaccine this facility by the government will be free of cost and on the other hand the private hospitals are charging somewhere around Rs.250 from people (not approximately).

Later he also mentions in the media briefing is that, He is not a health expert but he knows that the virus is dangerous and also varies in many varieties as there are many types of COVID virus found already so everyone must get vaccinated as fast as they can for their own safety. He also mentioned to follow the rules such as washing hands frequently in order to remove virus from hands, maintaining social distancing & proper use of masks following this rule is more than necessary as it offers us our safety.

Another question raised by Aamir from News Nation was that are the vaccines enough for all of us who need them & will we be getting foreign vaccines or not? He also stated that people are not following rules and use masks, preventing social distancing and many other rules are taken lightly by people what are your views on that?

Shri. Prakash Javadekar replied more than 4 crores 85 lakhs of people has been already vaccinated so that shows us the people that they care about themselves so, they will take care of their own safety. Where he doesn’t mean to say that rules should be taken lightly we must take care of ourselves and spread the awareness of the knowledge of safety for preventing a pandemic.
