The sale was done by Contemporary Brokers Pvt Ltd and bought by Vishnu Tea Company, a Guwahati-based tea business. Vishnu Tea Company is selling this tea leaf worldwide through its digital e-commerce website NineAMT.com.
According to the director of Manohari Tea State, which produces a special rare species of tea in Assam, it has grown only 2.5 kg this year. Out of this, 1.2 kg has been auctioned. It is a matter of relief for the industry to get such a price of tea amid the epidemic.
