India is known for many more things, but what tops is the culture. Because of India’s Beauty and exciting places people from all over the world travel here and enjoy the feel of it. And people who come from outside to visit India and have adventurous and amazing trips, might not even know about some amazing facts of places in India. Not only the tourists but even many people are unaware of the beauty and mind-blowing facts that India holds in itself. 

There are many more things which we are not known to them but I have shortlisted the 10 most amazing facts about India and its places. This will excite you and make you visit there at least once, and some things that you may not have noticed about the places.

1.The steel ropes in the Bandra Worli Sealink is equivalent to the earth’s circumference:

The tremendous Bandra Worli Sealink bridge took 90,000 tons of concrete to construct. To hold that all up, huge steel ropes – each with the capacity to hold up 900 tons of weight – were put in a spot along the bridge. If they were laid out from verge to verge, the wires could arrive around the perimeter of the world.

2.  Floating post office in India:

It’s true India has a post office that floats on the water. Located in Dal Lake, Srinagar, the post office has started up to perform as a tourist place for curious travelers who hope to take a picture of the unusual setting.

3. Varanasi is the most historical city in the world:

The sacred city of Varanasi, also understood as Banaras or Kashi is recognized to be one of the elderly living towns on earth. It is thought that this place existed till the time when it had the home of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. 

This town’s relation with time doesn’t finish here, for it is understood that the individual who takes his last breath here certainly achieves salvation. This is why several devout Hindus pilgrimages to Varanasi to spend their last days of life. At the same moment, numerous other followers flock to the city throughout the year to feel its Holiness.

The Kumbh Mela is a crucial celebration and pilgrimage area, and the biggest gathering of the crowd on Earth. While a carnival puts up with place each year, there is a celebration of tremendous importance at four-year and twelve-year intervals.

The amount of people following the festivity is so vast that the throng is noticeable in satellite pictures taken from space.

5.  The Taj Mahal is gradually transforming color:

Possibly the extensive iconic milestone in India, the elegant white walls of the Taj Mahal are something almost every tourist fantasies of glimpsing. Nonetheless, because of smog and pollutants in the atmosphere, the marble walls are slowly changing from white into a yellowish shade.

The place of Jaipur is dwelling to the hugest sundial on the earth, which is a high 27 meters (90 feet) tall. The sundial is designed from wonderfully refined gravel to build a remarkable chore of architecture. The sundial has been recorded as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Every year, it fascinates thousands of tourists, who arrive to glimpse the shadow shifting at about six centimeters per minute. You surely don’t wanna miss this.

7. A village with no locks and doors, yet the safest in the World:

The village of Shani Shingnapur is well-known for not possessing a gate or lock on a single house. Further that, there has not occurred a recording of an immoral act for nearly 400 years. Several people believe that the shared defenselessness has established a sincere faith between the dwellers, which has established security stronger than anything else.

Meghalaya town has earned the Guinness world record crown, for the wettest spot on Earth, with about 11,873 milliliters of rain annually. The Rainy season lasts six months, so make sure before going there, do not forget to take umbrellas and raincoats. 

9. Chenab Bridge is the highest rail bridge in the world:

Not all of India’s popular sculptures are spiritual. The jaw-dropping bridge stretching the Chenab river in Jammu is 1,178 feet above the water. If you’re afraid of heights, you might want to avoid this one but people who are full of adventure should experience it once. 

10. Residence of an unusual skeleton lake:

It is located in the Himalayas at nearly 16,470 feet, the glacial Lake Roopkund has become popular for the human skeletons discovered in the lake and enclosing regions.

It is believed that the skeletons are the remains of people from the 9th century who died during a drastic hail storm. 

When it comes to talking about the specialty of India, the word seems less. But the above-mentioned places and the facts about them are true and you might be aware of it to some extent but if not, then observe it and visit them and have the experience.
