We all know that Kedarnath is a spiritual place but all age groups want to visit there because of its mesmerizing beauty. Kedarnath temple demonstrates the beauty of nature on an extreme level, the sun’s rays touch the dome of the temple when it rises and that scenario is a joy for the eyes.
It is located on the Garhwal Himalayan range, near the Mandakini river. Due to weather conditions, the temple is open only between the months of April and November, the autumn full moon. During the winters, the vigraha (deity) from Kedarnath temple is carried down to Ukhimath and where the deity is worshiped for the next six months.
Kedarnath means the God of the field, and that shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to the beliefs Lord shiva agreed to dwell there on the request of Narnarayana.
It is to be said that later the five Pandavs built the first temple in the Kedarnath. The present glory of the shrine was built by Adi Shankaracharya, and the place becomes the Tirthsthal. This place had endured several massive disasters, but with time it’s elegant beauty comforts us all and makes us forget all the pain and sorrows under the roof of nature. It is also a dreamland for many people, who wish to visit there at least once.

Once you are in Dehradun, you can either take a bus or hire a cab to reach Kedarnath. By road: Kedarnath is well connected to New Delhi and Dehradun by the bus network. If you land in New Delhi, the best way is to take a bus to reach Dehradun which is about 260 km from the Indian capital.
There are many hotels to stay in Kedarnath at your budget, like Kedar Valley Resort, Hotel New Basera, Oyo rooms facilities also available nearby. You don’t have to worry about food, there are a couple of hotels (dhabas ), on the straight path leading up to the holy temple, which runs from 4 am to midnight and serve basic Indian food. Most restaurants are Chinese in Gaurikund, but north Indian food, Gujarati and Rajasthani food are also available.
Kedarnath temple is situated in the most beautiful place of nature, it is surrounded by snow, greenery, mountains, rivers, and many fascinating places.
