Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G has the same design as Oppo Reno 4 Pro. Oppo Reno 5 Pro with a more powerful 5G SoC and slightly larger Battery and some camera developed than Oppo Reno 5 Pro. Oppo is offering these improved phone with almost same price Rs. 35, 900.
Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G display and design:
Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G is very slim and light, measuring 7.6mm in thickness and weighing 173g. The phone is so comfortable to hold and easy to use even for long time. The Astral Blue colour looks amazing in my opinion.
Phone has amazing flattened top. All dual-sim tray, USB type-C port and a single speaker are on the bottom of the phone. At easy reach position volume and power buttons are placed opposite to each other on sides of the frame. There is no headphone Jack present for the phone.
Oppo Reno 5 Pro a 6.5-inch borderless screen AMOLED display with curved edges with full HD+ resolution, peak brightness of 1,100 units. 180Hz touch sampling and 90Hz refresh rate. The display is for low blue light emissions and HDR10+ capable also. The back panel is of scratch resistant glass from panda. As usual it has Gorilla Glass over the display.
The phone special attracts with its slim design and low weight. Its plastic frame and all other design built in features make it comfortable to carry in your pocket. The box contains 65W charger, USB Type-c cable, SIM eject tool, case and USB headset.
Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G Specifications and software:

One of the biggest upgrade in the phone is MediaTek dimensity 1000+ SoC. In fact, this phone is the first Dimensity SoC smartphone in India. The phone is built with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 and built on 7nm process four ARM Cortex-A77 and four ARM Cortex-A55 cores. It has 5G integrated modem and also has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless connectivity.
The phone is available in only single configuration with 8GB RAM and 128 GB ROM. It has the larger battery capacity of 4,350 mAh battery and same previous 65W super VOOC 2.0 fast charger.
Oppo Reno 5 Pro runs on ColorOs 11.1, and works on Android 11. The latest version is bit heavy customisation and one should be familiar to existing Oppo user. User can select his preferable dark mode from the three given options. There a game menu which uses while playing games.
Users get plenty of preinstalled apps from Oppo Reno 5 Pro and also third-party developers. The preinstalled app includes music, browser, theme store etc., other apps which we seen in previous Oppo mobiles. There is no any type of unwanted ads or promotional notifications from the company.
The new version of ColorOS version allows you to minimise some apps into interactive floating or smaller than that, this feature is FlexDrop. Only single app can minimised at a time.
Performance of Phone:

The phone is pretty well while using it because of its slim and light weight design. The in-display fingerprint and face recognition works pretty well. Fingerprint sensor works very fast. 4G VoLTE working very well in the device and call quality is also good, we can’t test 5G in India.
The display is excellent and brightness is more than the appropriate. Even under sunlight the display is legible. Colours are strong which make the video experience more interesting. HDR worked pretty well in YouTube as well as local files. Because of 90Hz refresh rate scrolling feeds a lot more fluid. The given Stereo sound is up to the mark of media consumption experience but the phone has only single speaker.
The ColorOS is working very quickly and multitasking handed with an ease. Call of Duty: mobile and Asphalt 9: legends ran perfectly at highest graphic settings. For the gaming time up to 30 minutes the phone didn’t get too hot, but back of the phone has become slightly warm.
Battery Performance:

The battery life of Oppo Reno 5 Pro is impressive. The phone has 4,350mAh battery which lasted 16 hours and 40 minutes on HD video loop test. On normal usage the phone lasts one and half day on a single charge. With 65W charger the phone gets charged very quickly. At an approx. rate in just half an hour it charges 98%.
Cameras

It has 64 megapixel as primary camera and there is 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and 2-megapixel macro and monochrome cameras. For selfie there is a 32 megapixel camera.
The new camera feature updated in this phone is AI highlight Video mode which brightens the footage in low light and applies HDR in the day this is depends on the light present around you. Selfie camera also has this type of feature. All other feature are same as older Oppo smart phones with AI colour portrait, ultra-steady video, pro mode etc. AI highlight mode working simply amazing. Worth of the mode knows when the shooting subject is directly against the sunlight. It only works for 1080P. 4K video shoot in daylight is quite decent in quality but we don’t get any type of stabilisation. Ultra-steady mode is also restricted to 1080P. 4K video option is the best while shooting videos even also it is a bit shaking.

Oppo Reno 5 Pro captures still images in good quality and good detailed colours in landscape are visible. The ultra-wide camera is not too bad. Poor detail capturing in ultra-wide option. Due to AI photos have warmer colour tone. Which can look good or bad according to your preference. Portrait mode is designed well with adjustable blur option and you can add filters too. The camera is not up to the mark.
The auto focus is quite impressing and quick which made easy in capturing close-up subjects. Night mode is simply good it is especial for ultra-wide camera.
Selfies are very detailed. Skin tone is little bit smoothened not too much. In low light also selfie camera works pretty well. Selfie camera is good at capturing decent details and colour without flashlight.
