Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray addresses the people of Maharashtra on the current Covid19 pandemic crisis and the situation that has arisen in the state.

Chief Minister in his public addess said “I cannot rule out imposing a lockdown if the current COVID-19 situation prevails. People have become complacent. We are in a Catch 22 situation – should we look at economy or health?”
Chief Minister said “In the next couple of days, I will give out strict restrictions guidelines. But I want to also tell you that I will be speaking to many more people. I want a solution about how to break this chain. I don’t want lockdown but what’s the solution?”
Maharashtra has the capacity to vaccinate six lakh citizens every day. But the Center should provide that much stock.

We have 2.5 lakh isolation beds and 62% are occupied. 48% of the 20,000 ICU beds are occupied. 25% of the 60,000 oxygen beds are in use and 25% of the 9,000 Ventilator beds are currently occupied.
