EARILER UPDATE

The Aadhaar and PAN should be linked as soon as possible according to the government. The deadline for the linking is set to the 31 march 2021. The process has been started earlier and now the deadline is coming close. If you don’t link it to the Aadhar your PAN will be become Aadhar.

You will face penalty if you don’t link the PAN to the Aadhar. Government has introduced the finance bill 2021 in the Lok Sabha. In that bill, under the section 139AA (2) if a person fails to do the linking of the PAN to Aadhar then the person is applicable to the penalty up to 1000 rupees.

If you haven’t linked the Aadhar to the PAN then you have to do It soon, or you have to pay penalty up to 1000 rupees for that.

For that you need to check that if your PAN is linked to Aadhaar or not. Here is how you can check that.

How you can check the PAN and Aadhaar link status?

Just follow these steps to check the PAN and Aadhar link status.

First of all, Visit the www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/aadhaarstatus website.

Then you have to enter the PAN number and Aadhaar Number there.

Then you have to Click on the ‘View Link Aadhaar Status’ option.

A new screen will open and that will show the current link status. If your Aadhaar is not linked to PAN then you have to link it before 31 march 2021. Here is how you can link the Aadhar and PAN card.
