A week to recognize our healthcare food services providers (19th to 25th of October)
When we get sick, go to the hospital for treatment to be fit and fine again of course. We follow the medications, workout to get back on track but did without nutritional food is it possible to overcome the diseases? No! Right, as if your body won’t get the protein and nutrition to fight the bacteria and sickness, how can a person recover.
People thank the doctors, nurses for treatment, which they should but what about the staff that provides the nutrition to fight against disease, they are the ones who keep track of our daily protein intakes. Healthcare foodservice providers do not get the recognition which they deserve and that’s why The Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF) created Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week.
This vacation was initially organized by an institution that would go on to come to be part of the AHF in 1985. It existed through their devotion that the US Congress would officially acknowledge Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week and dedicated to them who have been giving the most crucial nutrient for sufferers and faculty for eras. Healthcare Foodservice has been over as long as there have been clinics for maintenance of the ill and infirm, and as diet technology progressed so did their techniques of caring.
So to give recognition to these amazing people all you need to do is visit your local hospital or care facility and notify the food service staff there what a tremendous job they’re doing.
If you get a chance, then you can plan a proper event for them and be grateful to them, make them realize how important they are to us.
Make this week of Healthcare foodservice worker’s worth, and let them know what great job they are providing us.
