- 1/3 cup Ghee
- 2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 cup Grated onions
- 15 to 20 Cashew nuts (soaked for 1/2 hour and ground to a paste)
- 2 Tbsp poppy seeds-soaked 1/2 hour and ground to a paste
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 2 Tbsp nariyal ka burada (dessicated coconut)
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1 Tbsp powdered coriander seeds
- 1 Tbsp Salt
- 2-3 green chillies - slit
- 1 ½ cups khoya - mashed into a paste with water
- 1/4 cup thick cream-to garnish
- 2 Tbsp chopped coriander leaves-for garnish
Instructions
To make the delicious and tasty recipe we have to follow all the steps given below. Follow each step carefully and then you will have your kaju curry and cashew curry recipe in some minutes.
- First of all we will grind the cashew nuts with given amount of coconut, milk and poppy seeds together until it gets converted into the thick paste. After that we will heat the given amount of ghee in any heavy based pan or normal pan. In that add some and cumin seeds.
- Next we will add some onions after the seeds splutter. Then we will sauté till a brown.
- We will add now the paste that we grinded before and we will sauté it till the fat in that separates.
- We have to increase the heat moderately. And have to add the required vegetables now. After that we will turn the mixture around to mix it properly.
- We have to add the turmeric powder with the chilli powder and other spices like dhania, garam masala, salt according to taste and the green chillies of given amount. After the addition we have to stir and fry it to mix it well.
- After all above steps are complete, we will now add about 1 and ½ cups of water. Simultaneously will add the the khoya. Now we have to heat it to bring it to a boil and then will have to simmer, and uncovered it for 3-4 minutes.
- And your kaju curry is ready. You can now serve this hot and can be garnished with the fresh cream and green coriander leaves.
