Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp Fresh ginger chopped
  • 1 Chopped onions
  • 2 Peeled and chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 6 Chopped Carrots
  • 1 ½ cups Coconut milk (unsweetened)
  • 1 cup Vegetable broth
  • 4 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
  • As per Taste Black pepper and Salt

How to make Carrot Ginger Soup. Follow these steps

  1. After you collect all the ingredients, let’s get right into the procedure. Follow these simple steps and then at the end you will have the carrot ginger detox soup ready. Check out this recipe. Don’t miss any step. You can vary the amount of the ingredients according to the servings you are preparing for. 
  2. First of all, we will heat the coconut oil in a large saucepan. The heat or flame should be medium. We will now add the chopped onions into it according to the amount. We will sauté it until it becomes translucent.
  3. We will add the ginger and garlic now to the onions we previously added. We will cook that for some minutes more. We will now add the cumin and we will stir this well for half an hour.
  4. Now it is time to add some chopped carrots according to given amount to it. Then we will sauté it for a few minutes here. Then we will add the coconut milk in it along with the vegetable broth. Now lower the flame to decrease the heat. We will cook it for about 20 minutes or until the time when carrots get just tendered.
  5. Now we have to puree the soup with a blender. Blender maybe the immersion blender or the standard blender. (Take precaution while using the standard blender. Because the soup will be hot) If you find that the soup is too thick then you will add extra broth or coconut milk to it.
  6. Let’s add some of the desired amount of lemon juice to it. And we will simultaneously season it with the salt and pepper according to the taste. Now we will serve it hot.
