Staying true to this saying in the pandemic time the popular fast-food chain Burger King has come forward to call for support and help to the all food chains and competitors such as McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, KFC, Papa John’s, Taco Bells, Five Guys, Dominos and others
The year 2020 has shown some unexpected things in our lives, many things happened, especially the pandemic. There were so many deaths, patients; hospitals were out of vacancies to admit the infected people. Even in history, it was the first time that Indian locals stopped for these many months, the economy had to face some major downfalls.
There were many firms and organizations faced loss, many had to shut their business shutters. The other unexpected thing that happened recently was, an act of humanity and selflessness.
Recently the news got viral about Burger King, they posted a tweet saying “We never thought we would be asking you to do this, but restaurants employing thousands of staff need your support at the moment. So, if you want to help, keep treating yourself to tasty meals through home delivery, takeaway or drive-thru.”
The post concludes on a jocular note with Burger King suggesting that “getting a whopper is always best, but ordering a Big Mac is also not such a bad thing.”
The motive of this tweet was to show some genuine support towards the competitors, the Burger King has asked their customers to go for Mac Donald, Pizza Hut, etc. As because of Covid 19 these firms faced major drawbacks in their profits, but as people accepted Burger King was taking going on track but they observed the loss of their competitors so they approached they took some great gesture of big heart.
This way they are encouraging the employment, customer relation, and true spirit of genuine competitors. This act of Burger King got a real hype on social media, the fans of Mac Donald and others replied with respect and thanking them, Burger King has earned great respect by this, not only respect but this creates and develops more trust and customer relations.
They have set the example for others as well, this is the way of running a business and managing customer relations.
