1. Americano
Americano which is also called “long coffee” contains just hot water and one shot of espresso. First of all you’ve to pour hot water to prepare Americano then add one shot of espresso. Americano coffee was originated during world war 2 where Soldiers used to add more water in their beverages in order to increase their quantify of limited ration. Due to two-third quantity of water and dilution Americano is a little thicker in the state yet caffeine level is quite high in it.
2. Espresso
Espresso, is also known as a short black, which is a relatively highly concentrated coffee. Only one shot of espresso is used in it. In every local shop you’ll get to see, small, medium and large sizes just to check how many shots of espresso are included in your coffee.
3. Mocha
Mocha can be made with delicious chocolate powder or sometimes syrup can contribute in making it. While using white chocolate it can come out as a delectable white mocha. It is a combination of chocolate powder, a quantity of steamed milk, foamed milk and espresso. Sprinkling of chocolate power is optional and depends on on person to person. Few people prefer to have it without adding chocolate powder, while for some it is generally preferred.
6. Long Macchiato
Long macchiato is nothing but a taller version of Macchiato which is made by complementing different layers of two shots of espresso, 2 to 4 teaspoon of steamed milk.
7. Cafe latte
This beverage containers milk in quite a good quantity which reduces its bitterness and acidity due to inclusion of espresso. Few People who prefer to enjoy sweeter drinks also add some flavoring syrups in it to make it sweeter and better.
8. Flat white
Flat white, which is just like cappuccino has originated from Australia and New Zealand. Chocolate powder and foam layer are not used in the flat white just like cappuccino, rather steamed milk is used in it to make it creamy instead of frothy. In contains foam layer and chocolate powder. Steamed milk, which is added in it from the bottom of jug instead of the top, just because milk at the bottom layer is creamier and tastier than the top one.
9. Vienna
Vienna has many variations but one of the most common variations is making it with only two ingredients which are espresso and whipped cream respectively. Whipped cream provides a creamy texture to it. One or two shots of espresso and a half cup of whipped Cream are included together to prepare Vienna.
10. Cartado
Cartado is quite similar to Macchiato, but warm milk included in it reduces the acidity created by espresso. Generally one shot of espresso, one centimeter of foam on the top of it and a little warm milk are included together to prepare a refreshing Cartado
11. Iced coffee
Iced coffee is quite popular among Youngers these days. It is prepared with espresso or drip coffee and a little quantity of milk (or water) some ice cubes and flavoring syrups to enhance its taste.
12. Dopio
Dopio ia nothing other than espresso in which two shots of espresso are used. Actually this words “Dopio” means double in the italian language. That’s why a coffee which contains two shots of espresso is called Dopio. This is a very strong and highly concentrated drink which is hard to master.
