- 1 bunch of methi leaves
- 3 to 4 medium-size potatoes chopped into cubes
- 3 to 4 green chili finely chopped
- 4 to 5 finely chopped garlic cloves
- Red chili powder as per taste
- Less than teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- A pinch of Hing (asafoetida)
- Oil for cooking
- Water to adjust
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a deep pan on medium flame, add cumin seeds and Hing let it sizzle. Add finely chopped green chili and garlic. Stir fry them for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add Washed, cleaned leaves of methi and potatoes, mix it well. Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste, again mix it evenly.
- After that add 1 cup of water, cover it, and let it cook for 10 minutes on low to medium flame. Keep checking and stirring in between.
- Once the water is soaked up, you will get the great aroma of your dish. Switch off the flame and serve.
