Star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal tied the knot with YouTuber-cum-choreographer Dhanashree Verma in an intimate wedding ceremony at Gurugram, Haryana on 22nd December 2020. They took wedding vows with each other according to Hindu rituals in Karma lake resort in Gurugram. The event witnessed a presence of some close friends and relatives.
Dhanashree opted for Tarun Tahiliani’s red and maroon lehenga. She teamed up with a statement choker, nath and bangles. Yajuvendra wore an off-white-golden sherwani with a red pagadi. Both of them shared pictures of this special day on their respective social media accounts. Their fans are getting gaga over adorable looks of both the celebs. Chahal and Dhanashree had been dating for quite some time before the couple got engaged in August this year.
Earlier in August Dhanashree and Chahal had surprised their fans by announcing their engagement on 8th August. Both of them made their relationship official on their Roka ceremony. Even though a few months old, the couple has managed to strike a chord with netizens through their often identical posts on Social Media and PDAs. He shared a picture from his Roka with Dhanashree in which he wrote, ” We said ‘yes’ along with our families, #Roka Ceremony”.
Yuvi was draped in a heavy embroidered kurta pajama while Dhanashree wore a light purple lehenga on their ring ceremony which took place back in August. Chahal got engaged to her before going to Dubai for IPL 2020. Dhanashree was also seen cheering for him and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Dubai.
Dhanashree had spilled the beans about the couple’s first meeting in a chat show. Said told “It began as a student-teacher relationship in April.” Yuzvendra had seen her dance videos on YouTube and knew about her work. During the lockdown period, he decided to learn new things including dance and got in touch with her.
Soon they started their dance classes. Couple became friends and soon felt a connection. It was friendship that turned into love for them. It was Yuzvendra who proposed her for marriage and she said yes!
Dhanashree was born in United Arab Emirates (UAE) and completed her studies in dentistry from Mithibai college in Mumbai and DY Patil university, Navi Mumbai. She practiced as a dentist at Dentissimy Dental Care and Spa in Mumbai. She worked as an intern dentist at PadmaShree Dr. DY Patil Dental college and hospital, Navi Mumbai.

She did her training in dancing under the famous Indian choreographer, Shiamak Divar. She is popular on various social media platforms including Instagram, YouTube and TiKTOK. She is a well known YouTuber and has made Collab dance videos with various Indian actors and singers.
Dhanashree later told, Yuzvendra is a down-to-earth, humble, friendly and a family guy. She further added it was his humanity that bowled her over. They support each other and their professions. “We both are fun loving, so there’s never going to be a dull moment.”
Back when the cricketing action came to the screening halt in the wake of Covid-19, many players flocked to social media to engage with the fans. But it was Yuzvendra who stole the limelight with his hilarious Tik Tok videos and teasing comments at his colleagues.
In an interview he told, “Roka was one optimistic expertise I had this lockdown. To kill time, I went to be taught dance and there I met my to-be spouse, she is a choreographer”! Dhanashree is also a doctor by profession, a choreographer by passion and she also own “Dhanashree Verma Company”!
Chahal shared adorable pictures and wrote “22.12.20, we started at ‘once upon a time’ and found our ‘happily ever after’, coz finally, #DhanaSaidYuz for infinity & beyond…! Wishes poured in from all the directions of social media congratulating the couple.
Reacting to this news, former and current Team India crickets wished best of luck to the pairs for their happy married life ahead with each other. Royal Challengers Bangalore, IPL franchise wished then as a “Happy partnership”!
Rohit Sharma, a well known cricketer took to Twitter to bless the newly married couple, he wrote “Congratulations bro, best wishes to both of you, keep those googlies for opposition not her (with a wink emoji)”
Chahal would most probably be next seen in action in the upcoming ODI and T20I series against England next year. Chahal was recently seen in Australia, playing with team India in the T-20 and ODI series. In which India were dismissed for the lowest ever Test score of 36 in the second inning of the first Test at Adelaide Test and the visitors succumbed to an 8- wicket loss. He was however not included in the test series
