Celebrating 71st Republic Day
Indians are filled with patriotism. You can see some amazing patriotism and love towards our country in one and every citizen living in it. Every inch of Indian land have thousand of patriots in it. We Indians worship our country like a goddess and are ready to die for it any time. You may know numbers of people who sacrificed their life for India.
When we were ruled by Britishers and other foreign rulers there were many freedom fighters who sacrificed their life without any second thought or worry. This is the craze of the love of mother India. Even now many soldiers are ready to give their life for country without hesitating. There is patriotism in every part of land present in India but there are some places which can fill one with patriotism and love just by standing and viewing the place.
Jallianwala Bagh:

It was the time of britishers and general Dyer was in charge. Indians were protesting against British rulers to go back and general Dyer ordered to fire and hundreds of people were killed by British troops on that day in 1919. The signs or bullets om walls and bullets embedded on walls can be seen even now. Definitely a great place to get your blood pumped. You will feel sad and proud of the people sacrificed themselves.
Wagah border, Punjab:

This border is a few kilometers away from Amritsar. Every evening there runs a “Lowering the Flags ceremony”. People comes from all over India to see the ceremony. National anthem and patriotic songs are also sung here. An amazing place to soak yourself into patriotism and country’s love.
Jhansi fort, Uttar Pradesh:
Jhansi us known for greatest female fighters of India, Rani Laxmi Bai. Rani Laxmi Bai fought an intense fight against British army. She had a baby and fought while tying him on her back and she killed a lot of British soldiers. What a great and brave women. You can see the glimpse and a lot of amazing things related to Rani Laxmi Bai and the fight in this fort. And in India every single kid knows the slogan for Rani Laxmi Bai that is “khub ladi mardaani wo to Jhansi wali rani thi”.
Sabarmati Ashram:

This was the main house of Mahatma Gandhi who is also known as “Bapu”. He lived here for almost 12 years of his life. It is located at the bank of sabarmati river. Dandi march which is also known as Salt march was also started from this place. You can see glimpse of Gandhi vaad and life style of Mahatma Gandhi at this place.
Cellular jail:
Also known as Kala pani, is a prison where some of our great freedom fighters were prisoned. A walk in this may give you glimpse of how many sons of the country have sacrificed their life here just to get independence and freedom from Britishers.
Agra fort:
It became an important part of the battle that took in 1857 which ended British East India company’s rule from India. This is also a UNESCO heritage site. Some untold stories can be seen in the fort. Definitely not to be mussed at any cost.
Red fort

This is an amazing place to feel patriotism. The salute of 21 guns here when Prime minister hosts the flag will give you goosebumps and you will be filler with love and patriotism towards the country.
Netaji Bhawan, West Bengal:
It is a memorial hall which is dedicated to Subhash Chandra Bose. He was kept in house arrest in the same place until he escaped for Berlin in 1941. Visiting here will give you an idea of how freedom fighter lived their life and how Subhash Chandra Bose did. He also made his small group to fight against British army.
Raj ghat:
Mahatma Gandhi who is also known as “Bapu” was also cemented here. It is situated at the bank of river Yamuna. It is compulsory for visitors to take off their shoes before going inside as a sign gesture towards Bapu. An eternal flame also burns at the memorial.
India gate, New Delhi:

Is was initially known as All India war memorial. It was built in the memory of the soldiers who lost their life in First World War and Afghan war. Its height is 42 meters tall. Amar Jawan Jyoti has been lighted there that is still burning since 1971 to commemorate the soldiers in the war of Liberation against Bangladesh.
These were just few places that are mentioned here. There are hundreds and thousands of other places and stories that can make you cry and fill you with patriotism and respect. Patriotism towards our country and our country itself lies in our heart and we could die and kill for it without a second thought.
