International Cat Day 2021 also known as the World Cat Day is celebrated on 8 August and filled with many fun activities that will also give you another reason to care for your cat (or your beloved pet in this case) at home.

The International Cat Day, proclaimed by the International Animal Welfare Fund, has been celebrated annually since 2002. Many countries also celebrate national cat days to raise awareness for the adoption of cats. International Cat Day is celebrated each year on August 8th. International Cat Day was first recognized by IFAW in 2002, an animal welfare organisation in Canada.

The day, launched in its 19th year by the International Fund for the Protection of Animals, was founded in 2002 to raise awareness of the kitty friends and the many ways in which we can protect them. In 2020, International Cat Care (ICatCare) became the official guardian of International Cat Day. Over the past year ICatCare worked to coordinate work to improve the lives of over 500 million cats around the world.

The festivities were first organized in 2002 by IFAW, the International Animal Welfare Fund and other animal rights organizations to celebrate one of humanity’s oldest and most beloved pets. Since then, many other organizations and individual nations have joined this new tradition to honor our feline friends. As pet tech experts, we believe that Cat Day is a day, and we are excited to find new ways to share it with our cats and other pets.

Did You Know

According to science, cats only use their meows to talk to humans and not to each other – except to their mothers when they are kittens.

Tips to celebrate International Cat Day

If you want to celebrate the official International Cat Day that happens every year on August 8th by doing something special for the cats, read these tips.
  • The easiest way to celebrate International Cat Day is to post pictures of your pampered pet on social media, with people around the world captioning their tweets, memes, videos and images with #InternationalCatDay hashtag.
  • You can share your adorable photos and social media posts to celebrate World Cat Day.
  • Make the most of World Cat Day by customizing the day just for you and your friends. Dress your cat in a comfortable and safe costume to make it an unforgettable day.
  • Spend the day playing with your cat and making sure it has all the things it needs to be safe. Sterilization, vaccinations and veterinary care are important for your cat.

Other ways to celebrate the day include adopting a stray cat, buying cat merchandise, dressing up like a cat or showing your own cat some love and affection. Give your furry feline friends a royal welcome on International Cat Day or one of the days of the year when Black Cats bring good luck and catnip or cat eye shades that suit your entire wardrobe. Other ways to celebrate the day include welcoming walkers and stray cats, or buying cat merchandise to show your cat love and warmth.

Benefits of having Cats

Research shows owning a cat can help you improve your mental health. Owning a cat has been shown to improve mental health by reducing stress, anxiety and depression. Like humans, cats are fascinating creatures and, like any animal, are suitable for petting.

Some cats express their love in various ways : Some do not need or do not enjoy cuddling much of the time, but want their presence to be felt every time they enter or leave a room. The character of a cat can be described as idiosyncratic, farouche and independent, which makes it difficult to train. Cats as pets are not used for any kind of work or for economic reasons, but to make a connection to humans they are exceptional.

There is no doubt that cats are brilliant animals, and they respond in their own way to what you say. If you ever have a conversation with your cat, you can assume that she will understand every word you say.

A whole day dedicated to cats sounds like our idea of heaven, and there is no better way to honour our feline friends than to use the 24 hours of our year to commemorate our special bond with them. If you’re not sure how to do it, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Winners are randomly selected and receive gift boxes of treats to treat their furry friends.

Owners who sign up will receive an email with tips and advice on how to train cats to carry cats in and out of their homes, as well as trips to places like the vet. You can help moggies in need by adopting a cat or voluntarily providing food, blankets, toys and other essential cat equipment to rescue centers. Popular organisations include Lost Dogs Cat Rescue Foundation, the National Cat Protection Society, Blind Cat Rescue and ASPCA.

Cats are among the most popular pets in the world and can be found in many households around the world. The ability to communicate camaraderie and friendship is one of the reasons why we celebrate our feline friends. How humans honor wildcats and their contribution to modern society, however, only emerged at the beginning of the 21st century.
