Amazon Prime Tandav Web Series Review
CAST: The Tandav is a web series starring Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub, and other very talented actors. Created by Ali Abbas Zafar production by NSA picture, Offside entertainment releasing on 15 January 2021 on Amazon Prime Video. Tandav is a story that happens in the capital city of the world’s largest democracy- Delhi. It is a political drama showing some worst side of politics.
Saif Ali Khan is playing the role of Samar Pratap Singh who is the son of two times Prime Minister Devki Nandan. The series starts with the PM Devki Nandan claiming another victory in the Elections. Tandav is all about power and position in politics. Saif Ali Khan is playing the lead role in this series.
It is a political drama so everything in this is all about politics and especially for the position of PM. On one side the PM dies and on the other side the character of his son Samar Pratap Singh which is played by Saif Ali Khan has already started dreaming of the position, and suddenly a third person Anuradha which is played by Dimple Kapadia comes in to fight for the position and the story starts to get interesting.
People are already loving the performance and the story of this series by only watching the trailer and looks like it is going to be loved much. It has an IMDB rating of 7 out of 10. So now you can have a guess how good this series is. It has a slow starting pace so the viewer has to see it with the patient. Some very new and interesting debates are from real life like farmer protest, JNU protest is recreated in Tandav.
Tandav is not a hundred per cent fresh series but is inspired by a series on Netflix that is House of cards which are known as the encyclopedia of politics. Some stars like Frank, Clair and Dug are copied the same with an Indian touch. Some people are saying it a fabulous series and come viewers don’t like it. But it is all your taste and choice weather you like it or not.
There are all 9 episode of 30-40 minutes each and season 2 of Tandav is also expected soon. The producer of Tandav Ali Abbas Zafar has produced some great movies like Bharat, Tiger Zinda hai and Khali Pili etc. Firstly it was named DILLI but Saif Ali Khan was not very satisfied with name so they change it to Tandav.
The actors working in this series are very precisely picked and used very carefully for every character Saif Ali Khan, Gauhar Khan, Sunil Grover is all very talented and knows what they have to play and how. Zeeshan Ayyub Khan who is playing the role of Shiva who is a student icon of his university and Samar Pratap Singh wants to use him to increase his political powers and how all characters change themselves with time for their benefits are shown in this series.

- All the character allotted to their respected actors are also chosen very carefully.
- The actors have played amazing performance in this. They are so good that if at some places you notice the story to be distracting from the track or not being so good even then the performance of these actors will keep you bound and stick.
- Shots used in this movies are also amazing as this series has been shot in Delhi so there are some amazing drone shots, cut shots of Kannaut place, Rashtrapati Bhavan etc can be seen in this series.
- Tandav series had some amazing twist, turns, suspense, thrill, drama.
- Some heating topics like Farmer protest JNU protests are also resonating in this
Tandav Web Series Review – Negatives
- The story may be too much somewhere as we are talking about PM position in this series which is not a small thing.
- Some actors like Dino Morea are not used properly and could have been used much better.
Overall this series is a great series to watch. People who are not interested in politics may also love this series because of the actors and storyline. The series has 9 episodes with 30 to 40 minutes of each episode. So it totals of around 4-6 hours. You can see it with your preference.
This series is a goon and you should try it for once it may be a bit slow but it is so powerful and entertaining, you may love it. It has amazing thrills, drama, amazing performances of the actors and casts, turns twists and suspense.
You should give it a try it may be worth it after all it has IMDB rating of 7 stars out of 10. So it is a must-watch.
