Ashish Chanchlani is one of the biggest YouTubers of India with more than 22M subscribers and 2,693,045,349 views on his ACV (Ashish Chanchlani Vines) channel on YouTube!
He started his journey way back in 2009 when he used to make videos through his mobile phone. But when we will look at his current position then there are total 140 videos on his channel.
Some of his most famous and much appreciated videos are ‘tution teacher aur bacche (85M views), Exams ka mausam (77 M views) and PUBG: Ek game Katha (76M views)
He has also been featured in the top 5 content creators of 2020. Over the years he has grown a loyal fan base for him throughout the whole of India. With his great sense of humour, he never fails to captivate his audience.
But these days he is facing a lot of criticism and hatred on Twitter, due to a few false allegations of paid views for one of his recent Sasta bigg bosss video. which is a parody video of “Bigg boss” a reality show telecasted on colors TV.
He had also tweeted “Bigg bosss I’m coming baby” and “milte h Jan me guys see ya :” on 15th of December, one day before posting his actual ‘sasta bigg bosss’ video to grab attention of his fans. These tweets, later proved to be really helpful in increasing hype on various social media platforms.
This video proved to be one the biggest hit which broke all the previous records of the ACV channel. It was uploaded on the 16th of December 2020 and garnered 26M plus views and 2.8M likes within the span of 5 days. It was trending on 14th position on YouTube when allegations of paying 5,57,998.87 INR were put on him.

According to the netizen’s claim, he gained these many views in such a short time through “YouTube advertisement and paid services”. #Ashishchanchlanipaidviews kept trending on Twitter India with more than 2K tweets on 21 December 2020.
Well, the authenticity of allegations can not be proved, but assumptions by various people made it quite clear that it could be done to defame Ashish Chanchlani.
2020 was a productive year for him when his channel touched new heights by breaking its own records. He also achieved the milestone of 20M subscribers, which a big feat in itself. There are many competitors who envy him and his team. It wouldn’t be astonishing to say ‘people can do go to any level to defame others’. They can stoop so low to destroy the hard-earned fame of someone.
Ashish also made fun of those hidden elements who were behind this whole farrago of tarnishing his image and credibility. he jokingly told, if they had given same about of money to him only, he was going to do it with even better quality and cropped screenshot.
Later Ashish shared a video clip of “YouTube analytics page” on his social media accounts to prove that views on his Sasta Bigg boss video were real and organic, and no money was paid by his side.
Some of his fans did not like this idea of explaining this whole propaganda. Many of people trolled him online for explaining something which is self understood. According to them, there was no such need to give explanation for something where he was not at fault
Whatever the case be but his fans supported him throughout this whole hullabaloo. They also trended #AshishChanchlaniOnTrending to extend their everlasting love and support for him.
No one can claim authenticity of the screenshot which clearly shows the amount he paid to churn more views. But one thing is quite clear
“Social media indeed is a weird place.”
One-day people will appreciate and praise you like anything. They will take your side and support you wholeheartedly. But on the other hand, sometimes they will believe in false rumours and start hating & trolling you.
There are few people who will hate you no matter how good you are, on the other hand there are few people who will always love you, irrespective of your behavior.
It becomes responsibility on a celebrity /public figure to not take love of their fans as granted. You can’t let praise and criticism get to you. When people are giving you unconditional love, feel gratitude for that.
While when they are criticising then try to improve your behaviour. And it’s easy to rule people’s mind, but it’s difficult to rule their hearts. But, the person who knows how to rule people’s hearts is a legend!
Lastly, I would only say,
Being a public figure takes a lot, you can not be loved and hated by one and all.
