We all had a tough year in 2020 and the Bollywood box office saw its lowest point in the same year. We got very few of the theatrical release in which only three of them made to the profit. Those films were non-other than Ajay Devgn’s Tanha JI: The unsung worrier, Anil Kapoor’s Malang and Our favorite Ayushman Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar’s Shubh Mangal Zyda Savdhan.
However many films were kept on hold because of this coronavirus pandemic that can be released this year of 2021. We will see some of the big budget Most Awaited Bollywood Films that we can see in theatres this year.
1. SOORYAVANSHI
Starring Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, and Ranveer Singh as lead, Sooryavanshi was set to release on 2020. But due to the pandemic, it was kept on hold and decided to release after things go normal. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film also featuring Katrina Kaif in lead. The film is produced by Reliance Entertainment, Dharma production, Cape of good films, and Rohit Shetty himself too producing the film. The film is expected to gross so much as it was not released to the OTT platform and decided to wait. The film is said to have a budget of Rs. 135 crore.
2. LAAL SINGH CHADDHA –
Amir Khan’s upcoming comedy-drama film directed by Advait Chandan, Lal Singh Chadhha is too set to release in the year 2021. The film has set the Christmas of 2021 for its release. Amir Khan who is known for superhit but late films can appear this year after a long time. Khan was seen on the screen in 2019 when the mega-budget film Thugs Of Hindustan was released with megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Sadly the film was not appreciated by fans and got flop at the box-office. We hope Amir’s Lal Singh Chadhha will do the best for him.
3. RADHE : YOUR MOST WANTED BHAI –
Action-packed Bollywood biggie with superstar Salman Khan expected to be released in 2021. Directed by Prabhu Deva, The film is starring Megha Aksh, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Randeep Hooda along with Superstar Khan. The film was wrapped up in august 2020 and said to be release in 2021 Eid. As Eid is Bhai Jann’s spot so fans are waiting for another blockbuster from him this year.
4. 83
the sport drama film directed by Kabir Khan is too expected to be released this year 2021. The film 83 is based on the life of Kapil Dev which will show the journey of winning the first world cup in the history of India. The film is starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saquib Saleem, Ammy Virk, Hardy Sandhu, Jiiva along with Amrita Puri. Initially, it was set to release on 10th of April 2020 then was shifter to Christmas 2020 but now the film is announced that it will be releasing in the first quarter of 2021.
5. SHAMSHERA
Ranbir Kapoor’s period film which is being directed by Karan Malhotra is also expected to be released this year. Yash Raj Films produced film is starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt as the lead along with Vaani Kapoor, and Ronit Roy. The music is given by Mithoon and the story was given by non-other than the producer itself Aditya Chopra. The film was done its shooting in 2020 and the post-production work is still going on. The film was initially set to release in July 2020 but it was postponed due to the corona pandemic.
6. BRAHMASTRA
The mega film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachhan was initially set its release in 15th of august 2019 but later VFX work issue made the film delayed to Christmas 2019. It again eyed in summer 2020 but then set the date 4rth of December. But the release was still not happened because of corona Virus pandemic. We can expect the film to be released in 2021. The film had a budget of approx 300 crore rs.
7. TAKHT –
Directed by Karan Johar, The Multi Starrer can be expected to come on screen this year. Takht is a period film which will be showing the brother dispute of thone between Aurangzeb and Dara Shukoh. Vicky Kaushal will be playing Aurangzeb while Ranveer will play the character of his brother Dara Shukoh. The film is the most awaited film of 2021 starring Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Padnekar, Janhvi Kapoor in the list.
8. THALAIVI –
Multilanguage Bollywood film based on the life of J. Jayalalithaa is too expected to release this year. The film is directed by A. L. Vijay and initially set its release to the date 26th of June in 2020 but due to the pandemic issues, the movie was postponed. We will see Kangana Ranaut playing the character of Jayalalitha in the film as the lead.
